that was until i got my bi-pod adapter today and slapped on the bi-pod, this this thing just scored a whole bunch of cool points and I love it even more now than i did before. i just can't wait to get out to the range this weekend. i haven't really done much shooting with a bi-pod i have always been a pretty good prone unsupported shooter though, but this should really tighten up my shot groups!:)

NICE rifle. But, (here he goes!) does adding the bi-pod add a lot of weight to an otherwise high speed rifle? It looks to be set up for CQB, and I was looking for your thoughts possum now that you added the 'pod. I was thinking of putting one on my 20" flat top with a nice scope, but I am not sure about putting a 'pod on a carbine. And please understand I am not criticizing you or your rifle at all.

Doug, i understand what you mean, the bi-pod does add alittle bit of weight. I don't plan on keeping the bi-pod on there all the time, it will come on and off dependent on the mission at hand!:) i think it would be even better for a rifle like you described a nice flattop and a nice scope, the bi-pod would be more condusive to that set up. My plan is to have two uppers, one set-up for cqb, like i have and a 20" flattop with bipod and scope for reaching out there.

possum, you know for sure that if you get a second upper, then you "shall certainly" acquire a new lower to go with it. I tried the "spare upper" thing, and now I have 3 complete rifles!:banghead: I hate it when that happens!:D
I guess I didn't realise that the 'pod could be easily removed. I really haven't investigated them though. I may need to look into one. My only problem is paying off the medical bills I now have. Maybe next year.

that's alright i kinda wanted a mag-pull buttstock on the next lower anyway, so yeah i will end up with another your right!

yeah all you do is push in the little button on the side and give some foward pressure and it will come off and right back on any other rail system, you have a fancy to put it on!
