cleaning 12"

I have a brand new 1300 Defender, I shot the other day with my buddies. I decided ti clean it. One of my friends told me thatIf I wanted to clean the trigger machi. I shoudl pull the oins out

I tried pushing them out, but no luck. Maybe I'm doing it the wrong way, and sugestions????
