Specifically .357 and 9mm stuff for the range as well as personal defense.

Can you guys give me some links to places you have had good luck with?

I know, I need to start reloading, but one thing at a time.

Also, has anyone had good luck with remanufactured ammo from a particular place?

Thanks...

I buy alot of ammo from www.cheaperthandirt.com

I've never ordered from their website, though. Their retail store in Fort Worth is relatively close to me, so I go in person.

Natchezss.com has the best prices on practice ammo that I've seen on the internet. Remington UMC in particular. MagTech used to be good as well, but their prices have risen.

aimsurplus.com has recently had the best prices on .45, id don't shoot any other handgun (right now ;) ) so do not know other prices but they are pretty cheap for .45.

Good Luck

Why does everyone say Natchez.com has the best prices around? Everything I've seen from that site is overpriced.

Cheaper than Dirt is pretty good, but they ship via FedEx and the local delivery guy is a jerk. So now I buy all my ammo through Midway USA (http://www.midwayusa.com/ebrowse.exe/browse?tabid=3). Order processing and delivery are pretty fast and they have a great selection, most of which is in stock.

You can visit my site Small Armz at the link below. Then go to the menu on the left: Manufacturers > Mail Order after that you will have to comparison shop. Let me know if that helps. Thanks in advance

RE: Georgia arms at http://www.georgia-arms.com/index.asp

It has been my experience that they provide a great product at very competitive prices and have proven to be excellent people to deal with, friendly and honest.

Over the past couple of years I have purchased thousands of rounds from them (primarily .45acp, .223, and 9mm luger in their 'Canned Heat' line) and have had nothing but good results.

I am not an employee and have no financial interest in the company, I am simply a satisfied customer.

Peace and blessings,

I agree with georgia arms. I just got 1000 rnds of 40s&w on special for $140. No problems with the ammo after about 300rnds. I even accidently underpaid the shipping and georgia arms paid the difference.

ammoman.com is still the best as far as I can tell for defensive ammo and plinking, their price includes all shipping and handling fees. The other guys you need to calculate that in.

The Sportsman's Guide is great. Join their buyer's club, and buy in bulk. They send me $10 off coupons all the time for orders of $100. That pays for most of the shipping, plus you get an added discount for being a club member.

I also order most of my clothes from them, too. Believe me, the $29.95 to join the member's club pays for itself many times over.

I agree with what others have said about Natchezss--WAAAAY overpriced, and their shipping charges are too high--particularly if you live on the west coast.

Ammo to go is good in that they get new inventory in all the time, sometimes usually hard-to-find stuff like Winchester Ranger, Federal HST and the old Federal 115 gr. +P+ loads.

Tell it what caliber you want, and it'll spit back a list of who has that caliber from cheapest to most expensive. Definitely helps when you shoot odd calibers or have a rifle that has very refined tastes.

This is the correct answer. All the "favorite" specific retailers mentioned in this thread are great sources, but none of them are "cheapest" on "everything" "all the time". It varies with time/brand/caliber.

My online ammo purchases are mostly from Sportsmans Guide. With coupons and the member discount their prices are competitive. If they're out of stock though be prepared for a long wait... 9mm ammo I ordered last week in December is still on backorder.

The best place to buy ammo on the web is right here in the classifieds.
It's the timing that you need to keep an eye on. Once you see a good deal jump on it. Somebody else can see it too, and it's always the first "I'll take it" that counts.
The best deals found are almost always here, and the shipping is usually less too. Sometimes it's even free if the deals right.
I'm buying 500 rounds of 9mm at $6.50/box avg price, right here, and that includes shipping across the continent.
Can you find it elsewhere for less? Possibly, but it'll take a whole lot of searching to find it, if you can.

I just bought 1000 rds each of 9 mm and 45 acp at Luckygunner.com. I did a lot of searching on the web and they seemed to be the lowest for the ammo type I wanted! I was really surprised at the quick shipping time as well.

ammunitionstore.com .. They are located in my hometown and they do not have a storefront, but they let me come to the warehouse and pick it up. very nice people and great service. best price I can find for 9mm. However I am avoiding the shipping so i cannot comment on their price for that.

I agree with the other poster who said Wal-Mart for the cheap ammo. Manny of these places are a little cheaper for 9mm ammo ect but when you factor in shipping then the price the Winchester white box's of 100 from Wal-Mart are tough to beat for plinking/range ammo anyway. I have also found this to be the case when pricing the cheap shotshells for shooting clays as well. Although there is a couple of exceptions on the 9mm ammo with the places that sell the once fired brass. The prices on that stuff look really good!
