I am thinking about purchasing a set of these grips in ebony for my 2 1/2" 66. I like the idea of the smooth wood version and am wondering if anyone has a pair and how they like them as far as fit, comfort, etc. Thanks, Mike

I have a pair on my 640. They fit ok, but I was not impressed with the quality of the checkering. For the price I think you can do better.

I put a pair on my significants other M14 because of her smaller hands. They work and feel very good. I can't comment on the checkered model only the smooth ones and I like them very much. My M29 MG has the Ahrends on it, but I'm planning to take some of the fingergroove off of them because they are too sharp. The Eagles are much more comfortable with a more rounded fingergroove IMO.

I have both a smooth and checkered set for the S&W J-frame in ebony and like them both, though my preference is for the smooth version.

I have a pair of checkered rosewoods' on my 2-1/2" M19
I like them alot. They fit great right out of the box. The gun feels great in my hands, and it looks pretty good too.
