Anyone know if the HK USP Tactical (.45) will fit in the IDPA box? According to the HK website, the listed dimensions look like it would fit barely. Not sure if those dimensions take into account the sights, inserted magazine, etc. I'm not really planning on purchasing this weapon strictly for IDPA, but thought it might be fun to mix things up and shoot CDP on occasion. Thanks!

Same question goes for a XD-45 Tactical 5". Dimensions look like they fit, but it looks close.

I had a bright idea... but the IDPA Store no longer lists The Box for sale. They used to have it for about $7.00; you could have gotten one and taken it to the gun store. Maybe they will sell you one if you call. Or you could borrow The Box from your nearby club between matches.

According to the IDPA rule .pdf, "The Box" measures 8 3/4" x 6" x 1 5/8". A pistol must fit in with an empty mag. Revolvers don't have to fit in "The Box".

Your HK will just fit.
