Hi All

I had an SKS sling that I was going to throw out cause the leather tabs were not in great shape. But I hated to toss it because the webbing was ok.

Well I got to thinking that I have a student that has a web belt that is all ratty so I thought that this webbing would fit it as a replacement.

Then I thought that if I could make a belt from the sling that it would be cool but I needed a buckle.

Then I thought why not just flatten the mouth end of a spent 7.62x54 case and bend it into a loop. Then I cut a slot in the base for the belt to hook on.

And voila:

Not real fancy but I like it.

Coming up with a buckle shouldn't be too difficult, but I like the one you made... :cool:
