How does the Encore compare to the Omega, in terms of ease of use, maintenance, cleanup, etc.?

Are there any drawbacks to the Encore?

Thanks.

Well Ihave them both , both give me ragged holes at 100 years . the Encore is 45x209 with a 26" barrel , the Omega is 50x209 with a 28" barrel . I use the Omega for all-around The Encore because it is shorter , is a great brush gun but works very good all around plus I also have a 223REM barrel for it.
If there is a difference in the guns , it is that the Encore has more options with the different barrels .

I think the Encore is a great blackpowder rifle. My Prohunter Katahdin cleans up quite easily, even when shooting Pyrodex and Goex. With lighter loads that don't give me any flow-back into the action, it is even eaiser. It's also wickedly accurate and easy to shoot. The Flex-Tech stock really takes a bite out of the heaviest loads and makes the rifle fairly easy to shoot.
