I have several single shot shotguns I like to send out one at a time , as the cash allows , and have them reblued and the wood refinished. Could anyone here put me in contact with a qualified person who could do this for me .??
Thanks

If they're inexpensive single shots, you may end up spending more to have them reblued and re-finished than they're worth. Just a thought.

And if they're expensive and collectible, it will greatly reduce their value.:)

Both good points. Most older single shot shotguns are only worth $75-125, and I suspect it'll cost more than that to reblue. If they are truly valuable and collectible, contact Doug Turnbull Restorations (just down the road from me)...He/they are the MASTERS at restoring old firearms (My buddy has had thousands of dollars worth of work done there...truly spectacular). They're so good, that advertised a gun as a "Turnbull" restoration, will INCREASE its value. But they aren't cheap, and they often have a 6 month waiting list.

If they are of the low-value variety, I would suggest you look into DIY cold bluing. Alot of people don't like it, but I've used it on several, low value guns(lots of milsurps) over the years, and they hold up quite well, often at least as well as my new guns. The key is surface preparation and care when following the directions.
