After thinking about it for years i finally picked up the phone and got one while Aim has some. This HiPower clone fits my hand like a glove and i think the Arcus might have the best factory grips going. Its amazing how well its made for the money (those Bulgarians work cheap) and its nice to see a gun made the old fashioned way with forging and milling. The only drawback i can see is the plastic "velvet" lined tray that the gun comes resting in.Im gonna be flushing that stuff out for years!
Cant wait to shoot it.

Let us know how it shoots and anything interesting on how it differs from the other Hi Power clones and the real BHP. I have never seen an Arcus in person, they don't show up for some reason. Did you get the standard or the compact?

I got the full size that doesnt have a beavertail to speak of.If it shoots as well as my FEG FP-9 ill be thrilled.I honestly think that the Arcus and those sweet grips fit my hand better than any handgun i own.

Its amazing how well its made for the money

Let's wait to pass judgement until you get it ok :D

Good luck finding holsters....

Anyone know if the BHP mags work in the Arcus?

The thing looks kinda blocky, I prefer the asthetics of the BHP.

How are the sights? I heard they were pretty small compared to a Hi power.

I had one of those and sold it to a friend to fund another purchase. He has put many hundred rounds through it without a hitch. I liked the gun better than the FEGs I have seen. Fit and finish reminded me of the Arsenal AKs. Seems those Bulgarians can really put a gun together for not much money. I think you will be very happy. Only thing I would suggest is pull the magazine safety. I did that and it dramatically improved the trigger pull--much more than any other Hi Power clone I have done that to. Oh yeah, and get some of those 17 round mags from CDNN. They work great! Turns that Arcus into a Glock stomper.

:D

Some people are SO negative it makes me want to PUKE!:banghead:
Im not sure, but i think that i wouldnt post how well it fits my hand and how wonderful the grips are if i was LOOKING AT A PICTUREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Its fantastically made and i have an assortment of 10,13,17 and 30 round HiPower mags that will work fine in the Arcus.I think the sites are great, but cant compare them to another HiPower except my FEG -FP9.Both front and rear are dovetailed however.Thats nice.

Actually Tropical, I was gunna buy an Arcus, but I had a friend who was jones'in for a Beretta and he had an original MK-I High Power from the middle 80's. I had the Beretta, the rest was easy!! :)

Just yank'in yer chain a little bit, Bub!!

No need to go off the deep end!!! ;) :D

At least we won't hear "Hi Point rules" for at least a couple of minutes!!! :neener:

These are interesting.

Z- What is the silver frame? Nickel, chrome, galvanizing?

Also, are there many tool marks, or is the pistol fairly well machined close up. (Hopefully, you have something other than FEGs and HiPoints as references.)

I had one a couple of years ago that I bought knowing it was giving trouble. I had a BHP at Kurt Wickmanns so I called to ask his opinion before I bought it. In his opinion it was a little less handsome but a whole lot stronger than a Hi-Power. He said it would probably feed +p+ for many years with no problems. I sent it to him and 75$ later it came back, Never had a problem with any load ball or above. Grouped about like a Glock 17, and if you can tolerate CZ75 sights you will have no problem with the Arcus. The front is a little low and the grips stink (literally a rubber smell) but dont pose to much of a problem as BHP slabs fit it. A pretty good pistol but I traded mine off to fund an HK USP that I traded off for who knows what. If you like the BHP looks its hard to warm up to the Arcus but all in all its no harder on the eyes than a Glock (IMHO)

Hmm, I got a pile of 17 round argentine mags laying around here, not to mention alot of other hipower mags, I think I'll pick up one of those Arcus guns too.

Looks like a Browning or Beretta holster may fit it.

Maybe put some uncle mike's rubber grips I got for a hipower on it instead of the fingergroove jobbies.

Holster's were a hard find. It would fit an El Paso Threepersons but none of my IWB's fit very good.

Did you try any Hi-Power or Beretta 92 holsters?

I didnt want to use any of my BHP or 1911 IWB's because it felt like the Arcus might stretch them out. The slide is squared off somewhat like a Glock.
