I shoot a trap league in the spring, fall, and winter. And through the loads i have shout out of my benelli M1 super 90 i have noticed that the Remington nitro 27 7 1/2 shot HCDP loads are the most effective with my gun.

I have talked about it with another guy who own a benelli and he finds that they work better as well.

Anyone else see this happening?
Any reason behind this?

IMO, it's not just that they work well in Benellis. Those shells consistently pattern well in almost every 12ga I own. They are a premium target load, using relatively hard, round shot, a well-designed cushioned wad and one of the best hulls available.

I have yet to try them in my Wingmaster.

and BTW the gold hulls are the only ones i can reload now, the AA double hull design doesnt work with my MEC anymore

Gold or green, the Remington STS hulls are the ones I prefer for most of my reloading.

I also prefer the Nitros and most other Remington shells with the smooth/slick plastic hulls.

The Nitros are a class act from the getgo. Top quality components, assembled well.

While each shotgun is individual in what it "Likes", best results most often come from the best ammo.
