My first revolver...

I just got a Tangfolio TA-76 for my wife/plinking and I was wondering what is the general consensus about this pistol? I've only put a couple o' rounds through it and so far I love it. I picked it up for about 48 USD after a trade in and it's my first revolver. Anyone know where I can get parts for it? I hear that it's convertible to 22 mag which is what the cylinder says (though the barrel says 22lr) only 22mag won't load in 4 out of 6 chambers. Any thoughts on that? Thanks in advance.

Do not put 22mags in a 22lr cylinder, have your gunsmith check whether the cylinder is a 22 mag or long rifle. It is more than likely a 22lr if 22mags only fit in 4 cylinders. find a new cylinder in 22mag and use that. IIRC a Tanfoglio is an Italian maker???\

Not familiar with this make, but most of the .22 revolvers that handled both .22LR and .22WMRF did so by swapping between two different cylinders. If your existing cylinder will chamber both in some of the chambers, I don't believe I would care to shoot it myself.

If I read the post correctly the gun has a magnum cylinder in it. It would be near impossible to stick a .22 WMR into a .22 LR chamber so I suspect that two of the chambers have some corrosion or crude in them which is preventing the chambering of the cartridge - in other words ,they may just need to be properly cleaned.

The barrel markings would be correct and the gun would have come with both the .22 LR and the .22 mag cylinders when new.

I've already fired 22lr through it and it seems fine. I just can't seem to make out why two chambers load magnum and 4 do not. I heard the cleaning idea from my uncle and I did clean it throughly yesterday still no luck. I seems like maybe a design malfunction or warping, I can't tell. Anyway I'm not afraid to fire it, but would anyone know where to get parts for said weapon? Thanks in advance.

 OK - what I took this to mean is that the cylinder was marked .22 mag ?

If the cylinder is marked as a magnum then I would expect the .22 LR cases to buldge when fired and should not be fired in a magnum chamber. If the cylinder is NOT marked as a .22 Mag. cylinder then perhaps someone has reamed out 2 of the 4 chambers in a .22 LR cylinder to accept the larger magnum cartridges ?

Try Guns Parts Corp ( Numrich ) for parts.
