Will the .22 Kadet kit fit the Pre-B CZ-75? I bought one from Auction Arms and the seller didn't know (no reflection on the seller).

If it fits, I can't wait for it to arrive. If not, does anybody need one at a REALLY good price??:banghead:

MOST kits fit MOST CZ's without modification. Those that don't just need a little work on the rails with a file. I put one on my PO1. Best money I ever spent. I have been using the Remington Thunderbolt .22 ammo and it works perfect. Try a few boxes.

While MOST kits fit most CZ, my Kadet Kit would NOT work on two of four different pre-Bs I've owned.

With some pe-Bs, the hammer is much wider than the current B models (for which the Kadet Kit was designed), and the hammer won't fall into the slot at the back of the slide, where the firing pin is to be struck. Others work fine.

If you're buying from a dealer, you can check before you buy. (Although some fitting is sometimes required.) The newer your pre-B, the more likely it is that the kit will work.

If you find that it doesn't work, go to the CZ-Forum's classified areas. You'll probably be able to get your purchase price and then some.

I just got a Kadet kit last month. I installed it on a pre-B CZ-75. It required a little fitting, as it is designed to do. It now fits very tightly in the frame, and shoots very well. Prior to getting it, I e-mailed CZ-USA and asked it the Kadet was designed to fit the pre-B CZ-75. They said it is intended to fit.

Thank you all for your responses. I obviously want it to fit and intend to keep it. If the Kadet kit shoots like the 9mm slide, this will be one sweet addition.

We have a Kadet top for our CZs. Mine was built in '85, my wife's in '84. After getting a new firing pin and spring from CZ USA (our Kadet top was an early one; apparently they changed the design because of FTFs) it's been a nice little addition.

Yes, the CZ75 preBs in my collection did fit well with the Kadet Kit.
Mine was some years ago and never very reliable. I'm told that the
newer ones are much better.

We have been shooting .22s more often than anything this Summer.
Sky-high Gas prices mean less centerfire recreation for alot of shooters.

Should my sales of posters and scopes, and other Gunstuffs improve. I will probably pick up a new Kadet Kit this fall.

You're gonna love the Kadet Kit! It took me about 20 minutes with some very small files to trim mine to fit on my 75. The instruction manual goes over the procedure very well. If your kit does not arrive with a manual please let me know as I have an extra that I can send to you.

Here's my Kadet mounted on my satin nickel CZ 75 B (Hakan Pek custom grips)

Thanx Buck,

I'll see when it arrives. Coming from Alaska to Louisiana via USPS so will most likely be here next week (supposed to have shipped on 8-21 or 8-23). I really appreciate the offer, I will of course reimburse you for all shipping costs if I need the part.

Schmeky:

Someone else asked for it, so I've only got one copy now. If you need it, though, I'll be happy to make a copy for you.

Wouldn't CZ-USA provide free copies of the manual on request.

I know that most firearm manufactures do.

I had heart bypass surgery in July and haven't been able to shoot heavily recoiling guns, so I have been shooting lots of .22s. I got the Kadet and also got a Marvel .22 conversion for the 1911. Cool! I am having a lot of fun. Now I can shoot heavier calibers, but I am still having a lot of fun with the .22s.
