May have a chance to bid on one that is being surplused... Does anyone here know what they're worth? This thing would look Way Kewl in my gun room... Don't know if it'll weigh fine enough for powder, but might be okay for brass...

Mettler's catalog doesn't list the A30, so I don't think it is in current production. Google shows that the University of Arkansas is getting rid of one that they originally paid $1888 for. This price would be on the low end (depanding on the balance capabilities) for a new balance today.

If you can, plug it in before you bid on it to see if it works. Check to see if it has a sticker that lists the last time it was serviced and calibrated. Check to see how dirty the area around the weighing platform is. Lots of stuff gets spilled on laboratory balances, and a dirty balance is a sign that it was not well cared for.
