Anyone try the Taurus http://www.taurususa.com/tracker45.html
or any others.
I'm thinking about getting one.Can anyone make a recoil comparison for me....I've never shot one before.

I have one in 45 Colt and it is a great gun. It has more push than my 357 but about the same recoil and less muzzle rise. I would think the 45acp would have less even than my 45 colt

I have the 3" S&W 625 in .45 ACP (and another in .45 Colt but that is not germane). This is a very accurate and very easy to shoot revolver with 230 grain standard pressure loads. Recoil is very manageable.

In my neck of the woods, the 3" 625's are very much in demand as carry weapons.

I am intrigued by the Tracker, but I do not like that it is ported.

I would consider getting the 4" and having it chopped and recrowned and the signt moved up.

I agree with Pendragon,a 3" with no ports might be real sweet, even better if you could use 45 super in it.
