My dealer has one for $350 in like new condition w/ box. I always wanted a compact slim .45 ACP auto and ' been contemplating on getting a Glock 36. But I saw this one yesterday....no actually, it called on me. :D :D
Anyone has any info 'bout this piece? Good Bad? As always, thanks in advance!

See if you can test fire it first.
I had an early one, and it was the most problematic pistol I ever owned. It would deform bullet noses on feeding, and occasionally eject live cartridges. Yep, you read that right. During the firing cycle, the fired case, along with the top round in the mag, would be ejected before the next round was chambered.
A trip back to the S&W factory failed to solve the deformation problem despite a barrel change and other significant mods. I never shot it enough to tell if the live-cartridge ejection problem was solved. I sent it back to S&W for a refund.
I've heard others say they are happy with their 4513TSW, but I'd still suggest you try the one you're looking at to see how well it works.

I used to have one, and I still regret trading it off in a fit of insanity. It's an outstanding carry gun, with a very short and slim grip. Mine never had a failure of any kind, just like all other third generation Smith autos I have owned. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Yep, that's exactly how it looks like! I'll give it a test fire if they'll let me. I'll put HP's on it and see how it'll handle them. Thanks!

Check out : www.smith-wessonforum.com.
I think the owners over there give it good marks.
I just paid $459 for a NIB S&W 457 which is like a value mode of the 4513.
I like my gun a lot, and that sounds like a great price.
