What should a 90% S&W Model 1917 (Brazilian) go for?
Thanks

The Brazilian 1917's, so far, have not become great collector's items. The Blue Book puts a 90% specimen at $110. I think this figure is now way off the mark, as I have not seen a S&W 1917 in any form or condition for less than nearly $200.

For one in 90% condition I would be very willing to give $300+ for it.

I saw one sell Wednesday evening for, I believe, $225. This one's barrel had been cut to about 3-1/2 inches and original front sight neatly replaced. Mechanically very sound, but finish was only around 60%.
Seller and buyer were both very knowledgeable firearms guys, so this was neither a seller taking advantage, nor buyer making a steal. Both happy with the deal, too. :p
Best,
Johnny
