The only reliable ones I have are USGI. Are there any current production M1 Carbine mags that are any good?
How about Promag?

I would avoid Promag. I have two and neither would chamber a round without taking the Dremel to them.

I have yet to hear of a current production magazine working correctly. If anyone knows of one, I'd love to hear about it too.

USGI mags are the best. 15 rounds mags are still widely available. Why go for aftermarket?

Where do you buy USGI mags?

Coles Distributing has them at a decent price. I just ordered 10 of them for under $100. They were advertised as Exc condition. I think the URL is www.colesdistributing.com. If not, they are in Shotgun News or a web search should turn them up.

Most gunshows you can find the 15 round mags still in the original red wax paper outer wrap as well.
Finding good 30 round magazines seems to be a bigger problem, in my experience.
