we could go hunt on public land.Since 97% of Texas is private land, that's a pretty hard thing to do. I myself know of no public areas within 90 miles of DFW that would be reasonable places to go for dove.

I've been doing some researching, and it looks like LBJ national grasslands can be hunted without paying any extra fees.
