Take a look at http://www.nodibkennels.com/ , I'd vote for ol' Primo as any goblin's nightmare of a lifetime.
Nothing is 'frightning'. Ok, maybe a combat rabbit. Big dogs usually aren't scary at all. A dog biscuit with the owner's permission, the proper approach and the skilled application of behind the ear scratching turns them into mush.

Go BoerBoel or BUST:) R they scary:eek: That Depends on whom you ask....just tickle the very tops of there heads and they fall asleep....come on over and try it:D ........Lovers at heart (AND perhaps ONLY under the right circumstances can be lovers "OF" hearts as well, the smallest about 140 and the largest about 175lb. :-)...just the way we like em. Shombay Zulu on the far right passed this 5/1, RIP my little soldier :-)
Have to mention though IMO....Intimidation can be a formidable tool hence sometimes a GOOD thing...frightening NOT so much a good thing, to I the diff. is "control" , of the pup, weither internal or owner induced. :-) Id hate to think of a day where my "Kids" are no longer welcome in the US, they have toys the size of pitbulls...Literally, IT PAYS to keep them Lovers at heart and let Nature bring out any protective qualities when looking for a family member, and NOT just a guard dog, again just my opinion. :-)

while of course just like with people there are always exception.....For the most part, THEY are only as scary as you raise them to be....Till needed AND please note NOT a good example below, DONT let let these Large exotic breeds on the couch (I scold the Mrs. for this) Yes They deserve the Couch, and all have own rooms and such, While cute, It send the WRONG message! to them, stay strong handed and loving to keep ALL safe and happy) Its easy to fall into an undisciplined routine when they are this gentle, you forget what you have, please DONT, again stay consistant, they are looking for leadership and have a true instinct to follow.
