CZ freaks, give me advice

I'm thinking of getting another 9mm, something between the bulk of my P85 Ruger and the pocket size of my Kel Tec P11. I'd carry IWB. I want a full 15+1 capacity, but want as compact and concealable a gun as possible. I've always like the CZ75, but it's about as big as the Ruger. I like CZ pricing and quality and features. One more thing, I'd carry the gun DA hammer down. I would like the CZ75s cocked and locked option, but it's not mandatory. More important is DA and concealable size. I'd like a decocker, don't think the CZ75 has one. I'm not paranoid of decocking with the hammer, just a decock lever is a bit safer. Keeping the gun in a safe direction is number one, though. I decock revolvers all the time, after all.
So, what model/s of CZ should I be considering?

If you can give up 1 round (14+1) the CZ PCR (based off the 75 Compact) would fit the bill. It is a decock only gun and is the "sister" to the CZ P-01. The difference here is that the P-01 has a light/acc rail and the PCR does not, making it slimmer.
It is an alloy gun and weighs less than the full size 75 and less than the 75 Compact, which is also steel. They share many of the same features, but the 75 Compact is a safety gun, not decock.

CZ75 compacts like the P-01 can also use full-size CZ-75 mags and extra high cap SP-01 magazines as desired. I've been quite impressed with my P-01 and SP-01 thus far, will likely add a standard CZ-75 or 97 to the collection soon. Great pistols with an exceedingly affordable price tag.

That PCR sounds like the deal. Lighter is definitely better for carry and giving up one round isn't a problem. Really, 12+1 would be fine, but more the merrier. :D
How's the trigger on it, pretty decent DA and SA?
I'll go check around for a test of it.
THANKS!

I will second the cz75 d pcr. I love this gun. Very accurate. 14 rounds of 9mm goodness. You may also want to look at the rami. A little smaller than the pcr or compact.
My trigger really started to come in after 500 rounds. The SA is very crisp. The DA is still has a little heavy pull...but not bad.
Only modifications I am going to make are to replace the guide rod and put on some night sites. Oh...I need two more mags.

I have the P-01 and love this gun - very accurate and a joy to shoot. I think the light rail makes the nose a bit heavier than the PCR, but the upside is that I think it helps with follow-up shots. I have several CZs and they are exceptional guns for the money!

As much as I love the CZ PCR, I sold mine because in the end I decided that I would only tote a pistol capable of being carried in Condition 1 (cocked and locked) and I could see no reason to have a compact alloy pistol if not for carryin' use.
I have a CZ75 SemiCompact (steel frame, shorter barrel, full size grip frame) that I now carry on occasion. It's heavier than the PCR, but it interchanges 16rd magazines with my full size CZ75s and it supports Condition 1 carry.

Hi MCgunner,
I have a PO1 that has been great. CZ also offers a .22 conversion kit that actually works. I use the .99 cent Remingtom Thunderbolts, and it shoots as well as my MK2. Try www.whittakerguns.com they are the tall dog of CZ's

Can't go wrong with the PCR. You can carry it with hammer at 1/2 cock, just lessens the first DA pull length a bit, but still safe to carry. My trigger smoothed out to smooth-as-butter after 600-700rnds.

What rbernie said about the SemiCompact.
What Kevin said about Whittakers.
I bought a new SemiCompact at Whittakers for $320. I have found it to be a great carry gun. Cocked and locked or hammer down.
I was there last week. They have more.
