I need a forearm or forend. Ivy Johnson may work. Who might carry this?

Got a model number? My reference shows Eastern being made by Stevens-Savage and H&R.

Chawbaccer, interested about where your getting info on the eastern arms?

I have a 20ga. double (Eastern Arms)that belonged to my G/grandfather and was eventually handed down to me . Spent most of my youth shooting it , taking pheasents, rabbits and grouse. It still shoots great! I figure he purchased it sometime in the mid 30's to early 40's. I had the barrels reblued about 20 yrs ago and made a repair on the buttstock at the same time, but wouldnt mind restocking it if I could find a source. For whatever its worth , to me that little gun is worth more to me than my expensive trap gun and it probably cost my G/granddad about $35. back then.

Harley's book shows an origin of Meriden Arms, Andrew Furberg & Sons, and then Stevens.

If it is a Stevens double, a 311 forend will work.

I make no promises that this is complete or accurate.

The Stevens 311 was the most popular model for the Eastern arms guns. That forearm can be modified to fit it is from another mfg

Have located the 311 stock at several websites.
Hey before I order one, would the guage make any difference? All stocks listed say 12 ga....and mines a 20. I would think the receiver should be the same. What do ya think?

Jf you purchase a semi-inletted stock and forearm, it can be modified, removing wood to meet metal to wood contact at the top and sides. The tang length, if my memory serves will be the same. Should not have to modify the forearm. Now! REMEMBER: It has been 20 some years since I made one, but to make sure to ask the one selling the stocks. They are more current and should know the product

Jag...The stocks I've found are fully inletted. One is bare(no finish). the other is fully finished. One is from Boyds the other from Numrich. I am not concerned about a forend, as mine is very good. Just the buttstock and wondered if the guage made a difference? So you are recommending a semi inlet? I havent found any.
