I found this gun video website and have considered buying a couple of videos from there. I'm interested in the ones on House Clearing and Low light Shooting specifically. I was wondering if any of you have seen any of Lenny Magill's videos. If so, are they informative? Can anyone recommend them? or any other thoughts.

I got a DVD of Ayoob's Shoot To Live DVD from www.DeltaPress.com .

I would not suggest buying it to anyone who wants to learn about firearms, legal issues, tactics.

The production values are God awful, :( . Loud noise from an active range prevents you from hearing 90/95 % of what Ayoob is saying. Why film/record audio for a training video while people are shooting is beyond me, :banghead: .

Massad Ayoob justs sits in a chair and answers questions about firearms, ammo, tactics, etc. He doesn't show anything on a range or explain the methods with any charts, research or anything.

If you want high speed dynamic training videos that offer useful training information then AVOID the video; Shoot To Live.

PS: I have no problem with Massad Ayoob, I think he's one of the best firearms/tactics trainers working today but this video is sub-standard.

Thanks for the tip. I noticed the video you mentioned and I did consider getting it as I also like Ayoob's writings. I'm just looking for sound instruction something beyond the basics. I'm not an advanced shooter, more of a seasoned novice. Magill states he's NRA certified so I might just go ahead and try a couple of his vids just to see. Both videos I'm considering feature Bill Wilson and Ken Hackathorn. I'm familiar with both men so I'm pretty confident those two vids will be alright.

Consider a one-on-one with an NRA certified instructor. Yes it may cost more than a few DVDs but you'll take more away from the range time and hands-on instruction.
