Opinons of Ruger P-90

I am thinking about buying one of these, what do you guys think of them? I am a little concerned 'cause I seem to remember reading somewhere about the brass flying back and hitting you in the face and the mags don't stay put during rapid fire.
I sold a P-94 because of the brass bouncing off my head and wonder if perhaps all the Ruger P series do that?

My wife's doesn't hit me with brass, at least not often enough for me to remember. Never had any magazine-related problems either. Hogue fingergroove grips improve its feel significantly. Anyway, it's accurate, has a good SA trigger, and was super cheap. The weird thing about is how slowly it cycles. It fires, I blink, and when my eyes open again I can watch (and feel) the slide close.

I've owned a couple of them. Good guns. Reasonably priced, decent accuracy, and darn near indestructable.
The only downside on mine was a bad tendency for the recoil spring to scratch up the alloy guide rod. They are also a tad on the heavy side if you intend to carry regularly.

They are excellent 45's. Unbelievable accuracy, utter reliability, incredibly durable. Yes, I do use mine for CCW. No harder to do than with a 1911 for me. Is actually lighter than a steel framed 1911. You actually get more for your money with them.
No complaints , The P-90 has served me as well as .45’s I have paid twice as much for. Never had a problem with the Brass flying back , the mags or anything with the P-90. Do get the Houge grip if you can.

Actually, I had heard the rear flying brass problem was with the P-97 - not the P-90. Of the Ruger centerfire autos, the P-90 (metal frame .45) and P-95 (polymer frame 9MM) seem to have earned the most consistant overall praise from their owners.

I had a P95 that started throwing brass at me, started with CCI Blazers and slowly progressed to all brands. Sent it back to Ruger and no more problems in the last 2-3000 rounds I put through it. I also had a Glock 17 that would do it with some brands.

I had some trouble with feeding in mine. Once per box or so the slide would hang up a half inch or so out of battery. Always the last round in the magazine. A stronger recoil spring seems to have fixed that.
I used it during my pistol class a couple weeks ago (300+ rounds), with no failures, nor any since (~150 rounds).
It's a keeper.

i think the p-90 has to be the strongest P-model as it was originally designed for the presures of the 10mm. it is just too "chunky in the hand" for me. i'm going to get a p-97 instead, to keep my sig 220 company while i'm saving up for my valtro

I have the KP-90, the SS version. Works great, but is a bit ummm "bulky" for a single-stack .45. Quite a bit wider than my Springfield 1911-A1 Champion. I find it is easy to strip/clean/reassemble. Only 2 FTF in over 2500 rounds, both from same box of UMC ammo. Eats anything else I feed it
