Can the case feeder be installed on the Dillon 500?:confused:

Dillon sells a specific case feeder for the 550B. It only works with pistol cases. The 650 case feeder feeds both rifle and pistol (with the correct case plate installed in the feeder).

It can, but according to Brian Enos, you only "gain about 25%" increase in loading capacity. He advises buyer of Dillon products on his website to buy a 650 if they think they'll want a casefeeder immediately or later in order to take full advantage of the increased potential production a casefeeder can provide.
You'd be better off with a Hornady LnL or a Dillon 650 if you haven't bought a press yet.

Sell that 500 on ebay and upgrade to the Dillon xl650 and get the optional powder check system.
One blown up gun would more than pay for it.
