I've admired them and drooled over Ebay auctions...but every time a couple hundred jelly beans collected in one pile I would find something I had to have more than a Randall knife. So, stopped by one of my local pawn shops (I hit the circuit at least once a week looking for Case knives and S&W revolvers..old ones of course) and nearly made a mess in my drawers when I saw this lying in a case marked $159................(got it for $125!!)

OMG!!!

You lucky so-n-so. If that's brown stitching on that sheath with a RBR spacer that knife may have been made when Bo Randall was still alive. What a treasure.

I am glad you got blessed! I think that Randall was made a little later than Bo's days in the shop for a few reasons, but a treasure none the less! Also you lucked out in getting a carbon steel one, Bo would have assured you!;)

Wow! I hope you feel very guilty for stealing (about $300?) from that poor pawn shop!

Looks like new. Randall's are great stuff!

The only reason I do not hate you at this point is it has a stag handle and nickle silver hilt and cap. I would love to find one like that with brass and stacked leather handle.

Very good score!

I just bought a copy of Gaddis' book on Randall Knives. Very interesting history behind these blades ....

My RMKs are a stock model 3 and a custom model 14 but my custom model 3 is due to ship December 2007! W00t!

It's things like this that keep me roaming thru pawn shops looking for the big score.

Eat your heart out, I bought my first Randall for $37.00. That was back in 1962 and a pile of money to pay for a knife.

Great score on a great knife.

JTHUANG, grab your book and go to page 210, last paragraph on that page. Correct "Arkansas" to "Alaska" and "Micarta" to "stag." I was told that this knkife was the last one Bo did start to finish. Dunno if that is really so, but I'd sure like to believe it.

If I did things right, there should be a picture here.

I'll do that ... right now I'm not up to page 210 yet. Are the corrections due to a misprint in the book?

Holy Thread Revival Batman! I got my camera going finally, so here is mine. Not quite as good a deal, I got it for $250 because someone wanted to buy a new fishfinder.http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=64751&d=1191023614
