This bolt action rifle has no S/N or caliber marked on it anywhere. The bore measures around .245 so I assume that it is chambered for a 6mm round (is there more than 1?). It is engraved "G.L.RASCH BRAUSCHWEIG" on the magazine cover. The only other marks are inspection marks here and there. The barrel is about 21" long, and it is fitted with a Redfield 2x-7x scope on a Beuhler one piece base. The bolt handle is flat and it has two triggers. I have searched and have only found refecences to RASCH shotguns and big double rifles. Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me any information.

Sounds like a German guild rifle of some sort. Semistandardized patterns and parts assembled by innumerable small-town gunsmiths throughout Germany from the late 1870s to the 1950s. Probably either turn of the century or interwar rifle, could be chambered for anything, but likely 6.5 Mannlicher-Schonauer.

What action is it, a '98? A Mannlicher-Schonauer? Dutch Mannlicher? Gew88? Steyr-95?
