Shot a 329

Got a chance to fire off a few from a 329 today and here are my subjective impressions.

Kept the wood grips on. Using 240 grain white box Winchester, it recoiled the same as my 629 Mountian Gun. Using HSM heavy 300 grainers, it was not uncomfortable to shoot, but jumped rather substantially more than a Mountain Gun with the same load.

I dont enjoy shooting heavy recoiling handguns anyway for me it is a question of whether it was substantially more obnoxious than my Mountain Gun...it isnt.

Weighing loaded on the postal scale it weighs a good pound less.

Since I rarely shoot my 44, I probably will sell my Mountain Gun and get a 329 as it is lighter. Fit and finish are excellent by thew way.

I believe they made the 329 specifically for you.

I am thinking myself, with 200 Gold Dots at 1300 fps, or 250 Keith's at 1200fps, it would be awfully good for any two or four legged predators I am likely to encounter in the Sierra Nevada.:D

I want one, too, so much that I'm selling my rare 29Classic!
