I finally acquired one of my "holy grail" guns last night. It's a 1911 built by J.E.Clark in his heyday just the way I would have ordered it, except perhaps without the extended slide stop. The best part? It has had less than a hundred rounds through it since he shipped it in 1981!

The best thing is the gun will flat out shoot! Read more about it here. (http://xavierthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/08/clark-combat-colt-1911.html)
