I just got off the phone to Taurus and found out two things.
1) The new M905 won't be out until lat summer, probably August sometime!!!!
2) Taurus no longer has a custom shop!!!
I'm bummed!! :mad: :(

If you're looking for a five shot revolver in 9mm, keep you eyes open for a Ruger SP101 in that caliber. They have discontinued them but I see them for sale used occasionally. A good friend of mine bought one on my suggestion and loves it. He carries it every day, all day long.
For reasons I can't completely explain, 9mm looses very little in performance out of short revolver barrels - much less than 38 Specials do.

I think it's because the 9mm 115 or 124gr loaded to high pressure needs less barrel to reach max velocity.

For reasons I can't completely explain, 9mm looses very little in performance out of short revolver barrels - much less than 38 Specials do.
Rather a sweeping statement, there are more factors involved than caliber and barrel length. I have some .38 spl loads that only have a 30fps difference in a 2" vs. 4" barell.
