Hi folks,
How is that ammo manufacturer? Would you guys recomnend it? Sportsman Guide has a sale for 1000 rounds in 9mm for $149.95. I believe it was FMJ.

I like it a lot in .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .40 S&W, 9mm and .45ACP. Other than that, I have no experience.

I occasionally use the .45, 9 and .380.
Decent stuff, but not near warm enough for my liking
(their ballistic specs are misleading, since they use a an overlong test barrel)

The recall some time back was a turnoff, too.

It's good stuff. I've used the 20 ga, 9mm, and 40 S&W without problem or complaint.

Good stuff. I use it in .38spl , .357mag , 9mm , and 45acp all the time at the range. Never had a problem.

It is kind of a mystery as to the source; Most of the Fiocchi ammo I've bought was made in Hungary, and only a box or two made in the U.S.

ETA: I DO like their subsonic 124gr 9x19

I actually use Fiocchi FMJ for a carry round in my Kel-Tec P32. I don't trust hollow points (Silvertips) not to "rimlock" or even reliably expand in this caliber. I find Fiocchi's seem a little hotter than most other brands, and therefore may at least have good penetration for a .32ACP. They reliably feed and fire in my pistol also.

I like Fiocchi ammo a lot. I shoot piles of the 38spl and haven't had any issues at all. It's cleaner than Blazer as also very accurate.

I like the Fiocchi 9mm I've shot. However, what is Wal-Mart selling Winchester White Box (WWB) for these days? I think I paid about $12 for the last 100 round pack I bought, so thats about $120 after tax per 1000 rounds locally. I'd try to find better pricing, to include freight, before I bought 9mm FMJ online - that's hard to do too.

I shoot fiocchi 40 FMJ and I really like it. The ammo is clean, accurate, and consistent, plus its priced right. I'd buy the case.

I bought a case of 9mm FMJ a little over two years ago. There was 1 squib round about halfway through in a Glock 19. My roommate was shooting it at the time, pulled the trigger and noticed the light recoil. I noticed a significant reduction in report and told him to stop. I disassembled the pistol and the bullet was halfway out the barrel. Tapping the barrel on a hard surface wouldn't clear the round, nor would a cleaning rod. I took it into my local gun shop and they used a drill press to get the round out.

I know that's only one bad round, but if my roommate or another less experienced shooter had been running the mag and kept firing, it could have cost him a couple fingers or endangered his sight, or at the very least ruined the pistol. Since then I've switched to MagTech with no problems in several thousand rounds of 9mm and .45 ACP.
