Sounds like it. Any chance of a picture or two of the marks?

Wischo is a German sporting goods distributor. Proof marks are therefore likely Krautish. They require government proof house testing and marking of imported guns just like new manufacture there. Obviously they don't trust an American manufacturer's testing.

Wischo is a German S&W Dealer.
In Germany, ALL guns have to be proofed by law, even $10,000 Merkels. It's not about distrusting another coutry, guns made in Germany also need proofing, and this is NOT done by the manufacturer, but by the state.
