so I think I'd get a brand new Taurus Pt-145 Millenium Pro, I think this would be a nice company for my USP45.
Any pics and review from owners of this PT-145 Pro of recently manufactured (ie. this year) would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about the Taurus but the Para-Carry C6.45LDA is only slightly larger than a PPK.

Don't know too much about the Taurus, but my Kahr P45 is working out well. Once the initial trigger reset issue was fixed it's been running like a champ. Single stack 6+1 very thin and concealable.

I've handled and fired the Taurus Pt-145, and while it's not bad, I wouldn't be happy with it as company for the USP45. Just not in the same league IMO, but it's size is nice.

I just picked up a "used" S&W CS45 yesterday and got in a hour of range time today. The gun functioned with ball and HP ammo with no problems. Recoil is pretty stout, but manageable. I normally CCW a Glock 26 and will be using the CS45 some in the cooler months ahead. The muzzle blast was very noticeable also, so low light shooting might be difficult. I used to have a PT145 and it was a snappy recoiler also, but the 10 rounds helped add some weight. I just never could warm up to the DA Only trigger on the 145.

yeah well, nothing is in the same league as my USP45, not even the sig or some other custom 1911.
but the Pt145 is cheap :D

I carry a Glock 30 sometimes.

It's not exactly 'small'...but it is a LOT of pistol for it's size.

As smaller 45's go, I currently like the USPc 45 (long time fave) or the Kahr 45.

I have the Taurus PT-140 Mil. Pro. Great Pistol perfect size for CCW. I have a few hundred rounds through mine and it's been 100 %.:) You should be happy with the PT-145.

I have an older stainless PT-145 Millennium Pro, which I've put a couple of thousand rounds through, with no reliability problems whatsoever. Trigger takes some getting used to, and smoothes out with usage. Exceptionally easy to shoot, recoil surprisingly mild, and it's also very surprisingly accurate.

I think you'll be pleased.

I love my PT-145. It was built last year. I do not like the feel of Glocks or HK's at all. The PT-145 feels like it was designed around MY hand. YMMV.

Don't know too much about the Taurus, but my Kahr P45 is working out well.I own a Kahr K9 M9098 (metal frame). It's the best pistol I've ever owned. (Don't be too impressed. I haven't owned that many, but this one is a gem.)

I bought it because I wasn't impressed with reviews of the reliability of the polymer frame. (Still not.)

As far as I can tell, Kahr only offers the P45 only in a polymer frame.

Am I wrong? Is it also available in full metal frame?

Small .45 = Glock 30/36. Shoot 'em, decide for yourself.

I have a Springfield Ultra Compact for my small 45. It was a little tight & took some time to break in. I polished the feed ramp & did a little trigger work & am very happy with it now.

I decided I wanted to move up to .45 ACP from 9MM. I went to the range and rented several .45s including 1911, PT 145 and G 30. I really liked the size of the PT 145, but after shooting them, the G 30 shot best for me. My groups with the Taurus were considerable larger, especially in rapid fire. I also decided to go with the Glock reliability for a CCW. I have also recently read on one of the forums (I forget which one) that the newest PT 145 trigger system keeps the fireing pin at full cock, but not really locked.

My G 30 is my daily carry for 4 months and rides very comfortably in an IW holster and disappears under a polo or t-shirt. Be safe with whatever you decide.

I've got a PT-145 Mil Pro and like it a lot. Its my only Taurus pistol. It fills the role of a compact .45 nicely.

In my experience, the Taurus has a better feel initially, but the Glock 30 is a better shooter, highly accurate for it's size, more so than some full-size guns. Also, the 30 has been stone-cold reliable. And, I can shove 13 rd Glock 21 mags into it when refueling. Glock 30 is my choice. Also, the HK USPc .45 is nice, especially if you like cocked'n locked capability. But it is more expensive.
