After years of filling my safe up with Sigs, Walther, Glocks, etc...I just got around to buying my first HK.

I think I may have found my new CC piece.

HK P2000SK SA/DA (V3) in .357 SIG.

It will reside in a Matt Del Fatti ISP holster. The mags will be carried in a Milt Sparks D-4C mag carrier. I have extra mags from Cal's Sporting Armory on the way.

Here are the particulars and first impressions.

Datecode is AF.

Serial# is 125-000271 (So it is the 271st one made).

The mag floor plates are of the flat variety for both mags. (No way I'll want the curved ones. My fingers would be too scrunched).

My first impressions:

Sexy looking. Very sexy looking.

Nice weight.

Feels better in my hand (with small backstrap) than the G33 ever did.

Much better grip feel than a Glock. The rough backstrap and front of grip give it great purchase in my hand.

Long, HEAVY DA.

Nice SA.

Cool manual of arms. The breakdown was unique to me.

No shortage of grease in Germany....damn it was loaded with it.

Very bright, white dots on the sights.

Decocker, while off the slide for a clean look is a little hard to access with the trigger cocked.

Didn't realize the slide stop lever was ambi (if you choose to release the slide using this method).

Very happy with it so far. I field stripped it then cleaned and re-lubed it. I have 200 rounds of Speer Gold Dots that it will need to digest this Saturday.

I'll take some action pics and provide a range report this weekend.

Very nice, does it have a right side slide release and how does it handle in rapid fire?

Excellent choice in guns :)

I have the exact same thing, except in .40S&W.

You can lighten the DA trigger a little, here's some instructions:

I did it to mine. Not hard, and it did help. Just estimating I'd say the trigger went from about 10lbs to 8lbs.

Did you order a 12-rd USP Compact mag as a spare? They fit, and make an excellent reload mag. 10rd compact mags are dirt cheap too if you want lots for range use.

Good choice! I picked up my P2Ksk in 9mm a week or so ago. It's my 6th Hk pistol and not my last, definately. This little gun is one of if not THE best feeling gun I've held. It juts fits my hand perfectly, and I LIKE the finger rest floorplates on my mags. Shot it last weekend and WoW! it's awesome. Shot a bit to the left (2") but group size was real impressive. May not replace my regualr carry gun, but it'll be getting a Mitch Rosen home soon enough.

Enjoy yours!

Excellent! As already been mentioned, this won't be your last! HK's are like potato chips ;) I started w/ one & currently up to 6 (the state of CA limits me to a handful of handguns on an approved list :banghead:
Welcome to the club :D

If you don't like it, that's fine, don't rain on people's parade either.

Nice gun, I have the 3 bigger brothers of the SubKompak.
