[High Planes Drifter]

Has anyone ordered from them? They have a very good price on 500 rds. of 230 gr. .45 acp ; 500rds for $77.50. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them, what kind of ammo it was, were they good folks to deal with and did you get your ammo in a reasonable amount of time. I called but they werent open today.

Drifter, no experience with those folks, but I noticed on the site that their ammo is reloads, and the 230gr 45 ACP is LRN. You have to hit 'em when shipments come in, but Wal-Mart sells the Blazer Brass 230gr FMJ, newly made ammo for right at $10 after tax for 50 rounds. At $100, give or take a couple bucks, including tax for 500 rounds of newly made FMJ vs $77.50 plus shipping for 500 rounds of remanufactured LRN I'd lean toward the new FMJ. I'm not a big Wal-Mart fan, but when I can't reload their ammo prices are real hard to beat.

I wondered what happened to this company. I used to buy from them pretty exclusively my 41 mag, 45 colt, and 44 mag ammo and then their web site dissapeared. Never had any problems with any of their ammo. Now I send my spent brass to Bullseye Shooting Supplies (http://www.bullseyeguns.com/relammo.asp) up in RI for reloading since they also reload 32H&R Mag & 10mm.
