I thought I saw a topic on this, but was unable to find it. Anyway, I was at the local Gander Mountain and saw several Stoeger Cougar pistols. They were very busy and I didn't have a chance to actually handle one. Just wondering if anyone here owns one of these and if they're anywhere near actual Beretta quality or worth buying?

They are machined on the same equipment - they should be the same.
And, for now, I heard that the initial ones are supposed to be rebadged Berettas from excess parts.
If U like the gun, buy it - good price on them...

forgive the bump - anyone else? I too saw these "cougars" and was very interested , been kicking myself trading one a while back. But when i saw manufactured in turkey i am hesitant. Big gap where front sight sits on frame, machineing somehow didn't look as smooth but if it would function properly its a good price. Does it have berretta internals. anyone handle or fire one?
