The CZ-99 was the first incarnation of a pistol later made in S. Africa as the Tz-99 (the most common version) and Israel as the Golan. Aside from styling differences, they all are about the same gun and mags interchange.

The gun is essentially a Sig clone, somewhere in between 229 and 226 in size. 15 rounds in 9mm, all controls are ambidextrous. They got rid of the slide release in favor of a combo decocker/release lever on both sides. Unfortunately, the lever decocks when the slide is released, unlike similar levers in other guns.

The were made in 9 and .40, alloy frame. Accuracy was supposed to be decent (I saw a good group at one shop-the owner brought it in to brag about the purchase). The main down side is a rather wide grip and the lack of production/importation. On the other hand, it's a good gun for usually less than $300 and hicap mags are neither rare or pricey.

As the owner of a TZ-99, I wonder if anyone knows where you'd get 'expendable parts' like extractor or ejector for these ?

Here's a (not great) picture of my CZ-99... it has a huge grip, is completely ambi-dextrous, and came with night sights (now dark) and 2 15 round mags from the factory.

I don't know of a source for spare parts.

Thank you for good information, but what is interesting... Yestarday i went in gun shop, and saw CZ-99 for price of +\- 500 Euro. And maby i may wait for one good H&K P7 which is not too rare here (price here is about 1200 Euro). But who knows ...
