Alrighty then...I guess better at the range getting some practice under my belt than in any other scenario...!

Anyways, I have a Govt 5" 1911 .45ACP Caspian. It has/had a staked on front dot sight and the rear is a dovetailed 2 dor fixed sight. As in my subject, as I took the second shot of the day, the front popped off and get lost somewhere in the grass @ the range. I have been contemplating getting different sight's anyways, so now is my chance. I am looking for input/feedback/advice/personal experiences...

This is my daily carry so I am leaning towards some sort of "Night Sight" system. Secondly, the battle raging in my head is whether to go for FIXED or ADJUSTABLE? Logic tells me that being a daily carry as a defensive gun, I should get FIXED Night Sights... but the weekend shooter in me says get the ADJUSTABLE Night Sights... help me solve my dilema :)

Now, product selection...recommendation? Let me remove ONE variable... it HAS to be NIGHT SIGHTS...other than that I am open to brands, and so forth on. Is there a product on the market that has both Fiber Optic for quick sight picture during the day combined with Trijicon for night/evening hours?

thanx a bunch in advance...

Can't go wrong with Novaks. Other than that I would get the front sight dovetailed instead of staked.
