Saw the news, there was a soldier in Iraq carrying a beretta with a bright red magazine floorplate. Do they also have locks and keys ? Does a beeper sound when its loaded ?

It was painted, don't make a big deal out of it!:)

I've seen alot of units do this to signify live rounds loaded in a mag. Our unit does it. Its just a safety measure.
