View Full Version : Plano's VCI Pro Chips

Does anyone else use these, or has anybody tested their effectiveness? I use them in the pistol box at home, but I dunno if they REALLY work. I haven't seen a bit of rust on anything that I store in the box, but I dunno what to attribute that to.

We are having problems with rust on our equipment in the storage lockers at work, so I am trying to recommend something that we could put in the lockers.

If you have no experience with VCI Pro Chips, what do you recommend as a good rust inhibitor for the pistol box that is :
1. Effective
2. Small
3. A good value
4. Idiot proof

Whether they are chips,paper, VCI ,VPI etc they put out a vapor of rust inhibiting chemical .I use the paper ,but either way this works and is something the gun companies use.I also use RIG, a light coating to help. ...I'm not sure anything is 'idiot proof' .
