More silliness in Stoplight City (aka Kokomo, Indiana). What possesses these fools to try this kind of stupidity here, of all places? Is it something they see on television that takes place in California or New York where people cannot/will not shoot you? Kids today!

More evidence of the folly of messing with old people in Indiana--they have lived a long time and are usually armed.:D

One of my old friends was born up there in Cuba - sounds like a nice neighborhood!

16 Year old Sophomore? Isn't that a bit old?

Kevin, you have to know your enemy. It is not old, if you have been in IDOC in Plainfield for a couple of semesters. Being down always sets your academic career back.:D

Most high school seniors are 18 (some are 17) so a 16 year old Sophomore sounds about right.

Anyway, I guess this will teach him not to run around robbing people. :D

“Slonaker is licensed to carry a firearm,” Talbert continued. “However a permit is not required to possess a handgun in your own home, or on your own property.”Nice quote compared to the usual "The gun was licensed" and "Police caution against taking the law into your own hands."
Ironically, Nathan Smith was on probation with the Howard County Juvenile Probation department, but had not reported as required, according to department head Don Travis. Oh, the irony of it all.

This headline could have been "Homeowner killed by shotgun". I am glad it turned out ok for the homeowner.

Slonaker told police the juvenile holding the shotgun raised it when he opened the door. Slonaker then fired two shots, hitting both juveniles.
Not bad for having a shotgun pointed at you.
