buds gun shop has this for $287. I really don't know much about CZ. Is this worth snatching up?

They are a nice gun, and that is a really good price for a new one.

They are a tremendous value. An acquaintance of mine loves his, but I haven't tried it out.

I made a complete impulse buy on a CZ40P a short time ago. Did not know anything about it other than it was a CZ, it looked good, it felt good, and the price was too low to ignore. After an initial cleaning on its first trip to the range I had a number of failures to feed in the first 20 or so rounds (loading and firing only 3 rounds at a time). The rounds that failed just didn't quite make it all the way up the feed ramp. After that 20 or so rounds it cleared up (on its own) and I haven't had a single failure of any kind since over numerous range sessions with it. Has turned out to be one of the better buys I believe I have made.

Not impressed with the one I had. Painful trigger slap. Couldn't warm up to the .40 anyway, recoil was too sharp and quick, especially with the aluminum frame. Lots of trigger creep too. Several feeding failures, regardless of how clean/lubed it was. I did give it about 300 rounds so it's not like I just ran a box through it.
I sold it and bought a used Sig 220 which I like much better. Totally flawless even though it's 10 years old.
