Hey I just bought a new pocket carry knive that I think would also make a great defense weapon if needed, opinions please.

"opinions please"

Ok then!

I really like Gerbers.

The blade seems like a good shape. Keep it sharp.

If you thrust with it, the lack of gripping surface will leave you with a hand full of blade and your own blood if you hit a bone or other hard surface.

Although the extra curved grip is good for holding firm, I'd make sure the lock can't be hit accidentally with your palm.

But if you like it enough to practice with it and carry it all the time, then yeah it's a fine self defense knife :)

Gerber is not as flashy as some brands but has been making good knives for a long time. They were tactical when tactical wasn't cool.

They make knives I'd trust more in a fight than that one, but if you're an untrained goober like me you probably don't need to spend a lot of money on another knife for not much return. Keep that one sharp and it will take care of you.
