You can buy a bulk pack of 100 rounds of 9MM for only 10 bucks.

The stuff shoots pretty good. It seems average on the accuracy, so for the price its seemingly a good deal.

The question that I have is how good is this ammo really?

Does anyone have a Chrony that could run some of this ammo through it?

I want to know how consistant this stuff is, and what the average velocity is.

George,
I believe this has been covered about two months ago. Do a search, there was a lot of comments on this ammo. Overall, I believe that most people like it. Some felt that it is underpowered, thus leading to a jam.

I have shot a lot of it through my CZ 75B SA. With this combination, it is as accurate as my 5" Kimber Target with ball ammo.

I personally believe this to be one of the best buys in centerfire ammo.

I like it - not a single jam 2000+ rounds

I use this almost exclusively for target work and plinking. $10.97/box at Wallyworld. I really don't care what the velocities are!! It's accurate enough to keep my practice up and relieve the stress of the week!! I love the stuff!! :D

For the money, am still using Win Q4172 (115 fmj @ 1180 fps from CZ-75B). These are 6.50/box of 50 at Wally world.

While slightly more expensive, they are full powered and more accurate in variety of pistols owned, although your own experience may differ.

Am also wary of shooting 1000's of brass jacketed through favorite pistols. While not absolutely sure, beleive the brass jacketed may wear out rifling quicker than copper jacketed.

I shoot the "Whitebox" in a Ruger P95, and a Kahr PM9.
Both guns love the stuff.
No jams, seems as accurate as other ammo, and doesn't seem any dirtier.
I wish they made value packs in a few other calibers.

i picked up 5 boxes of this 100rd/box winchester yesterday for $10.76+tax. i didn't know it's brass jacketed, i thought it's copper jacketed.

i called walmart in lompoc, i don't think they sell ammo, so actually i didn't know walmart in oxnard sells ammo, since afterall this is DPRK. with 5 boxes 100rd win and 8 boxes 45blazer 230gr and the sales tax, i saved like $15 than buying it at walmart compared to buying at natchezss after shipping.
what's the difference really between the Q4172 and the USA9MMVP other than one is packed in 50rd/box, the other is 100rd/box?

oh yeah, i use this in my Ruger KP95. that gun eats anything, winchesters, olympic, blazer. some 600rds+, no jams or malfunctions. maybe i should try Wolf for the ruger :D

You'll get "full power" chrono results with a 4.5/5 inch barrel.

I've used that value pack white box stuff for numerous IDPA matches and even the heaviest poppers fall to the 115/9mm. I've had no ammunition related stoppages/jams of any kind using this ammo. Its a great value, almost as cheap as reloading.

Try a box, after all its only ten bucks.

The USA Brand ammo in .45ACP (AKA Wincehster White Box) works flawlessly in both my Ruger KP-90 and Springfield Champion 1911-A1.

Don't have a 9 Milli, but the WWB stuff has been good in all calibres I've tried...38Spl, 357Mag, 45ACP

I've been buying & shooting the stuff for almost 2 years & 3500+ rounds. I use it for plinking, range & IDPA. There is nicer ammo available, but value wise, it's hard to beat.

Galayns has the value pack 9mm on sale by the case. $99.90/1000. My guns love it.

It`s good range ammo for someone who hasn`t got the money to buy case lot. 100 rounds at $11 doesn`t hurt as much as a couple of hundred on the credit card at the end of the month.:D

Pro Bass sports recently had a sale on 9mm Win White Box for $3.88 / box, 5 box limit. I got there late and received a rain check for 5 boxes. I went in to pick up 5 boxes and they offered to sell me all I wanted at $3.88 / box.

Stuff plinks real good.

Only question I have is why is the price so low. Sorta makes me wonder if Win is sourcing its cheap ammo off-shore. Wouldn't be the first company to do so.

Where do you find case lots cheaper than Wallyworld? That's 109.70 per 1000 rounds.

Beats ammoman by a long shot, and everything else I've been able to find. Local SD instructor cant' do better than $159/1000 (that's before shipping).

I buy it all the time to shoot out of my Ruger PC9GR 9mm carbine!
it's very reliable, excellent practice/range ammo. Cheaper than
mail order ammo! even cheaper than gunshow prices! I hope
WALMART keeps selling these value packs for a while.

It shoots okay.

But if you reloaded, you could shoot much tighter groups for $3-4 a box.

I got tired of going to Wally-World and always finding they'd sold out of the stuff just before I got there. So now I just call ahead and order by the case. Saves me time and wasted energy looking for it, and keeps the sporting goods manager happy with larger-volume sales.

That wouldn't surprise me. Don't get me wrong, Winchester is my favorite ammo manufacter, but from what I've heard they outsourced their 7.62X25mm to a factory in the Czech Republic or some other former Eastern Block country. Anyways....

I was pretty happy the day I discovered these boxes. For about 8 months I have been feeding this stuff through my Grocks and have had maybe 1 or 2 misfires/jams/whatever. Even works pretty good in my Sub2000. Although, the .45 whitebox seems to be of a bit better quality.

I've been using the 9mm WWB for about 2 years now & have been quite satisfied. I've only recently started buying the 45's too. My only complaint is that they tend to be a tad on the smokey side

I buy the 50 rd box 9mm JHP, is the ammo in the 100 rd value box the same? and yes I do think the 50 rd box at walmart is excellent value at 10.97 each.

My CZ 75's eat it up, but it is the only ammo to cause stovepipes in both pistols. I've only had 3 or 4 in 500 or 600 rounds though, so I don't worry about it too much. Glad it's not defensive ammo though.

My pistols eat the 9mm and 45ACP up! Shoots as good as a lot of ammo that is "supposed" to be more accurate, but costs lots more. I have fired over 1500 rnds of it in 2 years, never had a jam, failure to feed, or any other gun malfunction with it. I have had "1" round fail to fire, tried it 2 or 3 times, in 2 different pistols, did not go off. Ended up throwing it in a ditch where I shoot, kinda wish I had taken it home to see what was wrong with it, suspect a primer failure.
Costs me $9.68/100 at Wally World, after 10% employee discount. I don't have the time in my life to sit around reloading 9mm for that price. Yes, it only costs between $3 and $4 a box, but my time is worth more than that.
Your milage may vary....

One of the indoor ranges i go to bans loose packed win. white box value packs citing "jams and squib loads"

Personally i think they are full of it and are just bitter because they were loosing ammo sales to Walmart.

I've heard that the WWB 9mm Value-paks are made in Israel but I don't know this for a fact. I don't have a chronograph but the 50-rnd seems a little hotter than the 100-rnd stuff. Both shoot fine and are accurate enough for plinking. The .45 ACP WWB shoots very well in my Kimber.

All of my guns shoot it perfectly except my xd subcompact. The subcompact gets a failure to extract every 2-3 hundred rounds. I jsut chalk it up to some extra practice in clearing jams, and continue firing away. The other 9mms in my stable dont even stumble over it occasionally. It has decent recoil, decent accuracy, shoots fairly clean, and its extremely cheap. what more do you want?

Galyn's carries them as well, at least in Michigan. They are a couple bucks more, but Galyn's does have a price match guarantee. The catch is they will only match the price if the competing store has the item in stock. Call Wal Mart first, find out if it's stock then go to Galyns and get the ammo with a 10% discount because of the guarantee.

I buy mine at Gander Mountain - $10.96 for 100 rounds of 115 FMJ - shoots well in my Sig with perfect reliability.

I've heard that the WWB 9mm Value-paks are made in Israel but I don't know this for a fact.

All the boxes I have bought have it printed clearly - "Made in USA" .

I've shot thousands of rounds through my BHP with no problem - it's my standard practice and IDPA match load.

I've also shot this stuff extensively in two Glocks, a G17 and a G26. The ONLY problem is when one of the ladies in my life shoots my G17 - "limp wrist syndrome" surfaces and the pistol malfunctions.

Ive shot 1000+ rds of wwb through my Hi-point with no jams, and no problems. Went and bought a BUNCH of the stuff and the lady behind the counter looked at me like "Do you really need all this ammo???" (I know that look well:neener: )

Yes but the money saved on the ammo will buy you a lot of barrels.
