Browning BPS plug help.

I just bought a Browning BPS used. Every other BPS that I have seen holds 4+1, but mine holds 2+1. It is my assumption that it has a plug. How do I go about removing it? Is it a pain in the ARSE? Is there anything I need to buy extra if I remove it? Thanks for the help.
