My son was just sent to the "sandbox." He and five others were issued nice, new M-14 rifles still in the cosmoline. No manuals. No accessories other than scope mounts and scopes. No cheekpieces to raise the comb to use the scopes.
Anybody know some good, reliable places to obtain such accessories?

Good info can be found at http://www.m-14forum.com/ and http://battlerifles.ambackforum.com/viewforum.php?f=108 , both of which are dedicated to the M-14.

Shoot an email to Karsten at Karsten@xmission.com He's a standup guy who does beautiful work. Web page: http://www.imageseek.com/karsten/ He painted my M14 stock and I got the cheek riser from him as well. Let him know the situation and I'm sure he'll be willing to work a deal.

Thanks, guys. I've forwarded your replies on to him. He's in weapons school this week learning his new rifle so he may not get my messages for awhile but the help is appreciated.
And yeah, I'm proud as hell that he was one of the six guys chosen in his battalion to be issued an M-14.
