nickled or blued S&W 21

The other thing I talked to the S&W rep about was if there will be a nickled S&W 21 and that is a big yes. It seams that after getting blued guns back on the market the buying (or not) public thinks that the blued guns cost too much and so they will try there hand a nickled to see if it sells better.
I Like the look of the blued revolver but I know it will show ware in under a year of use. The nickel will were better but it's a bit too flashy for me and I'd have to color the front and rear sights to make them workable for me.

all revolvers should be blued with wood grips
Sorry, no exceptions
Life is too short to own ugly guns. :-)

The local pro shop ( www.thebh.com ) got one of those nickle model 21s in last week. IIRC... the round front sight blade was pinned on and in blue.
Sure was a good looking gun...

Man, I don't think there's anything more beautiful than a nickel-plated Smith revolver. Well, okay, the old royal blue was astoundingly beautiful, but they don't blue 'em like they used to.
I had a Model 29 that was nickel plated and it was gorgeous. I remember reading where Hoppes Number Nine would remove a nickle-plated part if that part was left to soak, but I don't know if that's true today.
Anyway, to each their own.

I have one of the recently manufactured Model 22-4s in 45 ACP and I love this remake of the old 1950 Military. It's a great carry gun and the brass is easy to pick up.
It's very accurate with 230 gr loads of most any sort. But it has little affection for anything at 185 or under. Great gun and I would love to be able to find a Model 21 TR at a decent price or trade.
The bluing is pretty good for modern day and I'm keeping it.
