They've been renamed the "Tactical" glove in new catalogs.

they're not too dis-similar to my motor cycle gloves, only they haven't got the gaunlet going up the arm.
Should be ideal for keeping my lttle pinkies warm oj the cold walk to work in the mornings and dark walk home of an evening:D

One of the other guys cautions their use since he tried them out on a heavy bag and they actually were a hazard for the user.

I've seen honest-to-Azathoth sap gloves sold as "balanced-weight driving gloves". Yeah. Right.

The gloves I've been sent are the new version without the carbon fibre knuckles.
There are nice and well made, but I can't help thinking that I'll always want the other ones.
Still thinking about whether to return them or not, I could do with a new pair of shooting gloves but as I've seen else where on the web they do look more akin to bike riders than door-kickers.

well there's plenty of things out there called 'paper weights' and 'letter openers' as well.:)
