Accurate Arms Powder?

Ok. Been doing a little research lately, and came across a statement on the Accurate Arms website that their Accurate 4350 powder is completely equivalent to IMR's 4350 powder. Anyone have any experience with this? I've been wanting to use the Accurate 4350 since it is usable in 2 of my 3 rifle cartridges, but no one in town carries it, and I don't wanna pay the $20 hazmat fee for it....
I'm going to e-mail IMR and see if they have any info on this.

NO one has it in town???? where have you been looking?
I swear I saw some at Sportsmans Warehouse on S.E. 82nd... I was in there this afternoon picking up a bottle of AA1680.
If not there I am sure you can find it at Bi-Mart or GI Joes. They may even be able to order it for you (and since it will come in with their regular orders, you wont have to eat the shipping/hazmat)

"...no one in town carries it..." If they carry AA powders they can get the 4350. It's not exactly a rarely used powder. In any case, AA would not be saying it's the same if it isn't. Think in terms of the frivolous lawsuits they'd be hit with if it wasn't the same.

shweb, sportsman's is out, Joe's, BiMart, and Fisherman's don't carry it.... I figure I'll wait for IMR's response for a day or two. If no response, I'll buy IMR's 4350 and back the loads off 10% to start.

Ask if one of the retailers can order some for you. they do it all the time with other stuff.

I might try that. But if it's equivalent to IMR4350, I may just use the IMR stuff too....

I realize this maybe a moot point but check some of the most recent reloading manuals and see if IMR4350 and AA4350 are listed. I'm pretty sure the Speer manual#13 has loads for both but I don't have it handy to take a look.
I use AA1680 and was told by AA that its the same as WW or surplus 680 which I use in a 7.62X39 ruger bolt action
( semi auto are persona non grata in MA)

Well, haven't heard anything from IMR yet. I'm gonna give it one more day and see if Sportsman's gets any on their next truck (Thursday). Otherwise, I'll either try to come up with a different loading, or see if I can get one of the retailers to order it for me.

took a quick glance at my speer manual and there ia slight difference in the 2 powders according to speer data takes a little more AA 4350 to get the same velocity as IMR 4350 but ymmv in the rifle/cartridge you use.

Well, turns out that Sportsman's wasn't telling the "whole" truth. They were out of 1 lb bottles of AA4350.
However, they did have an 8lb keg of the stuff... And since it's a product (the 8lb) that they aren't gonna carry any more, it was marked down to $101. Which brings the price down to $12.63/lb. And since that's cheaper than the coffee I drink, I couldn't well argue with it.
The only downside (riiiiiight) is that I only have one rifle that I'm feeding this particular powder to. (Mosin-Nagant) So I'm either gonna have to shoot it a lot more :) or buy another rifle that'll take this load....
(yes, I know I stated 2 above. But turns out I was wrong. the 8mm Mauser "J" chambering uses 4350. The "JS" which I have takes AA2015)
Of course, now I'm looking for AA2015, which they're sold out of as well (and no, they don't have any kegs of it)
