I was thinking about getting an EliteII, I hear the trigger pull is better then the Elite I and other 92's. Anyone know this from using both?

It's been way to long since I've shot a regular Beretta, but I just picked up an Elite II. I've read that it has the light 92D (DAO) spring for it's DA pull, but it still seems very heavy to me. The SA it light and crisp though. I plan on sending my EII out to Langdon Tactical http://www.langdontactical.com and having their level two trigger job done on it. This should lower the DA pull to a more managable 8 lbs.

I don't have a trigger scale, but mine seems to be much lighter and smoother than 92s I've fired in the past.

Yeah... I have more experience with the Taurus copy than the Beretta but my Taurus has a single action pull just under 8 lbs. Still, it's not too difficult to do combat accurate shooting under combat conditions. The Elite triggered Berettas have a considerably better pull. Haven't got around to changing out the spring for a lighter one. Just fills its purpose. If it was my only or primary gun, I would want to do something about it.
You're making all kinds of changes in your collection, aren't you Chris? :p I told you metal guns are nice, too!

Out of box, the Elite trigger is lighter & maybe a tad smoother. I changed out the springs in my 92fs and really like the improvement. My 92 Centurion has shot more rounds and the trigger is about the same as my 'fs'. I guess I could have broken in te trigger myself, bu I just didn't have the patience this time around.

Stock, it has a lighter pull because it has a 'D' (the DAO Beretta) spring.
A spring swap will make them all the same.
Ernest Langdon will make your Beretta aluminum of infinte sweetness.

Try one of these before getting a trigger job done.
Comes in reduced Power also. Have one in my 96 Elite.
