Bought a new to me Marlin 1895 in 45/70. Came with a nifty receiver-mounted Redfield peep sight, but I can't seem to find any information on it. Anyone know where to get an instruction manual for it?
Looks exactly like this:

NO.
Sorry, I have no idea where to get info on it. However, most of these had either 1/2 or 1/4-MOA clicks, at least for the typical 24- to 28-inch or whatever sight radius for long guns and receiver sights.
The hash marks on those I've played with are 3 MOA, IIRC. Count your clicks from one line to another and see. 12 would be 1/4-minute clicks.
Your screwdriver/coin slot knobs are a bit more messy to deal with than the target knobs, but they'll work just fine on a hunting gun--that's what they are intended for anyway.
Watch out for backlash. You can usually tell with close observation whether it takes a click or 4 to reverse direction.
HTH.
